About The Position

This intern will report to the Commercial Banking Team. In this role, you will learn how an agricultural lending team functions with exposure to operations and underwriting surrounded by a team of 15 bankers all tied to financing and banking farms and agri-businesses throughout Oregon and SW Washington. Your objective will be to learn the skills needed to underwrite a small agricultural loan request from start to finish – including all ancillary processes from compliance to loan documents.

Requirements

• You’re an undergraduate student aiming to graduate in spring 2026/2027 or a recent graduate within the last year.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week), fully onsite, for 10 weeks starting in June.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred degree and skillset include a degree in Agriculture Science, Finance, or Economics.
• Preference given to those with a farming or agricultural background.
• Skillset will include good communication skills and understanding of basic software programs as well as a basic understanding of financial accounting.
