About The Position

Global Network Banking (GNB) serves a select number of the world’s largest and most prominent multi-national corporations that demand the highest standards and world-class quality coverage. The Banker role is a senior level professional responsible for delivering Citi’s unique global network to the subsidiaries and regional treasury centers of our Banking clients operating in and out of the United States. More specifically, this position will primarily cover subsidiaries of Japan-headquartered clients. The Banker will drive revenue growth for the US franchise by ensuring strong focus on origination, driving wins across all products while simultaneously delivering exceptional client service.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience
  • Sound understanding of the Corporate Banking business and its related products, pertinent regulations affecting it and the lending and credit approval process
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade,finance and securities products
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses

  • Master’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for subsidiary relationship management and providing a wide range of treasury and corporate finance solutions, including cash management, trade, FX, derivatives, financing and commodities
  • Help oversee the Japan to North America corridor initiative and appropriate strategy to aggressively grow the NAM Inbound business, a critical growth area for the firm
  • Partner intimately with product partners in developing innovative solutions to meet specific client needs and hold regular pipeline reviews to discuss top opportunities
  • Drive coverage and calling strategy for Japanese subsidiaries operating in the U.S. to uptier the dialogue with clients at the Treasurer, CFO, CEO, etc. levels to ensure optimal deal origination
  • Responsible for evaluating public filings, research report, operations, business plans and financial forecasts to product strategic and financial analysis
  • Ensure alignment of core strategy against the segment with Banking, Markets, Services, Wealth, as well as Institutional Client Management (“ICM”) and Risk partners to drive growth and client delivery
  • Responsible for meeting revenue goals and other goals related to budget, risk management, and credit allocation in partnership with Parent Account Manager (“PAM”), Global Capital Market (“GCM”) and Risk
  • Drive innovation, differentiation, speed to market and promote cross-selling of products across the full Citi platform
  • Responsible for staying abreast of market and industry trends, “best practices” and competitive landscape
