Our Music Store at Sweetwater is booming, and we are continuing a concerted push into the Band and Orchestra category. Working in close partnership with Music Store leadership, Institutional Sales, School Relationship Managers, and Marketing, this role plays a critical part in the growing awareness that Sweetwater is the most credible and trusted source for Band & Orchestra needs within in the country. Success in this role means building a high-performing team, developing future leaders, and consistently delivering results that strengthen the organization’s position as the most trusted Band & Orchestra resource in the country. Requirements

  • Strong leadership and business acumen
  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills
  • Dedication to top-notch customer service
  • Previous experience in B&O retail and rental operations
  • Five or more years of retail sales management

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate in a Music or Music Tech program preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary in-store leader for all Band & Orchestra sales, rental, and repair activities, with full accountability for annual revenue growth across the category
  • Lead rental-focused training initiatives and serve as the primary store representative for Rental Manager enhancements, ensuring store needs and feedback are well represented
  • Own store coverage planning and ensure the team is properly staffed to support peak B&O sales, rental, and event activity
  • Provide on-the-floor support to sales team to drive team building and leadership growth
  • Develop salespeople to balance and maintain the highest quality of engagement and salesmanship, Store Presentation, and training
  • Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, one-on-one follow ups and work on performance and reviews
