Role overview & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Supervisor, Baler Operator is responsible for supporting the activities associated with the box sortation in various locations.

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience in a warehouse environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Swaps full toes of bad boxes with empty tote for each box sorter.
• Keeps track of damaged cardboard being placed in baler by counting the boxes and using tick sheet.
• Places damaged boxes in bailer. Once the bale is complete the operator ties each bale with wire strands, ejects the bale and calls lift driver for safe removal of the bale.
• Straps and removes full pallets from each sorter.
• Tracks the amount of full pallets each sorter completes throughout the day.
• Maintains area clear of debris and communicates with lift driver when pallets are ready to loaded into the trailer.
