Taunton DC - Returns - Baler Operator
About The Position
Do you like staying busy all day and working independently? Jordan's Furniture seeks a team player to work in our busy QC and Returns departments. The hours of this position are: Tuesday - Saturday; 11:30 am - 8:00 pm. Pay Range: $20.00 per hour. We share our pay range because transparency matters. This reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role based on experience and performance. Requirements
- 0-6 months of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment where you are on your feet for 8 hours per day
- Reliability
- Safe work habits
- Must be 18 years or age or older
- Must be able to solely and safely lift and move materials up to 110 lbs.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
Responsibilities
- Transfers trash and recyclable material to the compactor/baler area and maintains a clean work area.
- Separates recyclable material from trash.
- Operates all machinery used to handle trash or recycled material.
- Loads/unloads Junk bedding, Shuttle, Receiving and Recycling trailers.
- Handles, repackages and moves returned merchandise
- Sorts, transports, processes recycling material and disposes all trash generated from the department’s daily operations
- Assist with the overall cleanliness of the DC by ensuring floor is clear of recycling debris
- Uses and maintains tools and equipment in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards
