About The Position

The Bakery/Lead Clerk acts as a backup to the department manager, overseeing the department successfully in the manager’s absence. This role involves mastering the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which include merchandising, order guides, scheduling, contribution to profit, people development, and customer service. The individual is also expected to demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Mariano’s, based in Illinois, merged with The Kroger Company in 2015 and currently serves customers in over 40 stores throughout the Chicago Metro area. Responsibilities

  • Backup the department manager and oversee the department successfully in the manager’s absence
