About The Position
Emma's is seeking a friendly, detail-orientedâ¯Bakery Attendant/Barista to provide exceptional guest service while accurately processing transactions in a refined, boutique setting. As the first point of contact for many guests, the Cashier plays a key role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the elegance and charm of the patisserie. Requirements
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Accurately process orders and payments using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
- Answer guest questions regarding menu items, specials, and ingredients.
- Assist with packaging pastries and beverages for takeout.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory of retail items and report low stock to management.
- Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Promptly deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests.
- Ensure presentation and accuracy of each order before delivery.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to coordinate timing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
- Respond to guest requests and communicate feedback to servers or management.
- Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Use of turbo chef oven to fulfill all hot food orders.
- Restock food items/ stations as needed
- Deliver food to dine in guest
- Use of mobile ordering device
- Ability to engage with guests and offer meaningful dialogue to enhance service and upsell
