About The Position

The Bagger role is a part-time position within the Guest Service Department, reporting to the Guest Service Department Manager. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a helpful, fun, and guest-focused environment. Baggers are crucial to the retail and grocery store team, ensuring every shopper has a pleasant and efficient experience and is eager to return. Providing excellent guest service, including friendly greetings, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism and care, is central to the role. Baggers are at the forefront of customer service, making a positive impact daily by assisting guests with their needs.

Requirements

• Ability to create a welcoming environment and provide superior service (Guest Focus).
• Ability to efficiently bag items while maintaining the quality of products (Attention to Detail).
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates and customers (Team Player).
• Ability to read, count, and write accurately, and operate necessary equipment (Skills).
• Ability to stand in place for long periods of time.
• Ability to walk in the store.
• Ability to bend, stoop and lift or push 15-20 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds intermittently.
• Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment.
• Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests, providing a welcoming and helpful check-out experience.
• Bag groceries according to procedures, ensuring product integrity and customer satisfaction.
• Keep the checkout area clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Share customer requests and feedback to the leadership team.
• Provide prompt and courteous parcel pick-up service.
• Help maintain standards and meet quality expectations by 10 am and 5 pm daily.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
• Maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
