About The Position

The Backstage Hospitality Assistant ensures artists and crews have an excellent experience on show days. You’ll prep and maintain dressing rooms, fulfill rider items, coordinate catering, and respond to real time needs, working closely with stage management and production. This role will pay an hourly rate of $19.00-$22.00 This position will remain open until May 1, 2026.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in hospitality, catering, events, or theatre/venue operations (backstage or FOH).
  • Calm, organized multi-tasker with excellent communication and a service mindset.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., move carts, and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Flexible availability (nights/weekends/holidays as scheduled).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local errands (mileage reimbursed per policy).
  • Riverside County Food Handler Certificate (required for anyone handling food/beverages/utensils).
  • California ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification if your shifts include setting/serving alcoholic beverages (must be certified within 60 days of first alcoholic service shift; certification valid 3 years).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare dressing rooms according to artist riders (stock beverages/snacks, set towels/toiletries, tidy/refresh between sets).
  • Coordinate catering: place/pick up orders, set up buffet/green rooms, label allergens, replenish, and break down; keep backstage food areas sanitary and presentable.
  • Run show-day errands (within policy) and manage receipts; maintain petty cash/expense logs.
  • Backstage support: assist with load-in/load-out of hospitality items; keep traffic lanes clear; maintain a clean, safe, ADA aware environment.
  • Liaise with artist reps, stage management, and FOH/operations to handle last-minute requests professionally and discreetly.
  • Inventory & reset: track stock levels; restock and reset hospitality areas post event.
