About The Position

The Backlog Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing inventory backlogs to ensure accurate stock levels and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational efficiency by identifying discrepancies, resolving inventory issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory flow.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
2+ years in inventory control, supply chain, or operations roles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software preferred.

Responsibilities

Track and reconcile backlog inventory across multiple systems and warehouses.
Ensure accurate data entry and timely updates to inventory records.
Review and analyze backlog reports to identify trends, bottlenecks, and discrepancies.
Investigate root causes of inventory delays and propose corrective actions.
Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to prioritize backlog clearance.
Communicate with customer service teams regarding order status and expected delivery timelines.
Develop and implement strategies to reduce backlog and improve inventory accuracy.
Assist in creating SOPs for backlog management and inventory reconciliation.
Prepare and maintain detailed backlog and inventory reports for management review.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
