Requirements
- 1+ year experience in customer service or similar area required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detail orientated.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Must be a quick learner.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in transportation industry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Under supervision, conduct background checks related to potential situations of employee misconduct. Gather information and relevant facts related to misconduct reports and record findings, and perform additional research as needed.
- Conduct in-depth research into the personal and professional history of driver applicants.
- Verify educational credentials, employment history, credit history and personal references as directed.
- Check for any criminal history, arrests, convictions, or pending charges to ensure that the individual does not pose a risk to the workplace or company.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all interviews and ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Make recommendations regarding new hires when requested.
- Provide appropriate responses to all incoming callers.
- Work with other security units and/or designated department personnel as needed.
- Analyze records that result from background investigations.
- Monitor request systems weekly for new orders and follow up on older orders.
- Develop an understanding of applicable regulatory and legislative requirements as they pertain to background screening to ensure company compliance.
- Represents company in a confidential, ethical and professional manner in all interactions.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
