Peraton is developing the next generation of mission planning and command-and-control software for space communications programs. Our team is responsible for creating modern, resilient services and capabilities that will support the U.S. Government’s critical space communications infrastructure for the next decade and beyond. As a SR Backend Software Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in building a cutting-edge ground communications and data-transport platform for U.S. government satellites. You will design and develop core platform services that enable secure, scalable, and efficient satellite operations. In this role, you will contribute as an individual developer while supporting technical decisions to ensure platform excellence. What you'll do: Build multi-tenant services on public cloud platforms like AWS Build, architect, and consume APIs and backend services as part of the platform ecosystem with an emphasis on automation, testing, and security Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance that have a particular impact on your team and others Engage with customers and partners to facilitate integration with our services Solve complex technical challenges related to scaling space communications infrastructure
