About The Position

You will design and build the essential infrastructure, data pipelines, and APIs that power autonomous scientific research. By creating scalable and reliable backend systems, you will enable AI agents to solve complex challenges in fields like drug development, accelerating humanity’s ability to conduct breakthrough scientific discovery at scale.

Requirements

• Has 4+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering with proficiency in Python or Node.js.
• Possesses strong expertise in database design (PostgreSQL/NoSQL) and building scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS/GCP and Docker.
• Demonstrates a background in professional software practices including structured code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and query optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance APIs, services, and scientific databases for a discovery platform.
• Build robust monitoring, observability, and automated testing frameworks to ensure maximum system reliability and uptime.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with research and front-end teams to deploy and scale new AI-driven scientific agents.
