About The Position

The Back of House Coordinator is responsible for leading all back-of-house operations, ensuring food safety, quality, speed, and cleanliness. This individual will develop and coach kitchen leaders and team members while maintaining a high-performance, guest-focused culture.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Previous experience in a leadership or fast-paced restaurant role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, servant-hearted demeanor
  • Passion for personal growth and helping others succeed
  • Positive attitude and ability to lead by example
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Full-time commitment with the ability to work a flexible schedule including early morning, nights, and Saturdays to accommodate operational needs within a 40-hour-per-week schedule

Responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen team with excellence, modeling operational and leadership standards
  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, inventory management, cleanliness, food quality, food safety, and equipment maintenance
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members and leaders to perform at a high level and to achieve consistent food safety, quality, and speed of service.
  • Assist with training new team members and mentoring team members who are in the leadership development program
  • Ensure compliance with Chick-fil-A brand standards and health department regulations
  • Collaborate with other Leaders, Directors, and the Operator to drive business results and achieve strategic goals
  • Create and maintain a positive, high-energy work environment focused on care and accountability
  • Manage labor and food costs to meet or exceed targets
  • Open and/or close, lead shifts, be a key holder
  • Lead by example, working in the kitchen shoulder-to-shoulder with the team when necessary
