The Back-End Department Supervisor at Lowe's is a leadership role focused on team management and operational excellence within a retail store environment. This position involves assigning tasks, providing feedback and coaching to team members, and fostering an environment of growth and development. Key responsibilities include overseeing back-end operational activities such as receiving, stocking inventory, managing freight flow, and preparing for deliveries, ensuring these operations do not negatively impact the customer experience. The supervisor is also responsible for maintaining safety, security, and preventing shrink, conducting daily safety reviews, and ensuring store areas are clean and organized. This role may also involve acting as a Manager-on-Duty (MOD), providing overall store leadership, driving customer service, managing staffing, and handling various operational tasks, including during overnight shifts for the Night Operations variant of the role.
