About The Position

- The BA/BS Counselor at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing comprehensive counseling services to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to support their mental health and well-being. The role involves assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to help clients achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a counseling or mental health setting.
Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of cultural competencies.
Proven track record of developing and implementing effective counseling plans.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in using electronic health records and other clinical software.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
High level of empathy, patience, and sensitivity in dealing with clients.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of clients to understand their mental health needs and challenges.

Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in counseling practices.
Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in emergency situations.
Educate clients and their families about mental health issues and available resources.
Contribute to the development and implementation of community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness.
