About The Position

- The BA/BS Counselor at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality counseling services to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to support their mental health and well-being. The counselor will work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans and provide ongoing support to help them achieve their therapeutic goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a counseling or mental health setting.
Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
Proven track record of developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
Strong understanding of mental health disorders and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
Proficient in documentation and record-keeping with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to coordinate care and provide holistic support to clients.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in the field of behavioral health.
Engage in regular supervision and consultation to enhance clinical skills and ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
Support clients in crisis situations, providing appropriate interventions and referrals as needed.
Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources to promote understanding and engagement in the treatment process.
