About The Position

B52 Manufacturing Engineer (Associate and Experienced) Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations San Antonio Engineering team is seeking a B52 Manufacturing Engineer (Associate and Experienced) to support B-52 CERP on 2nd shift, but flexible with some 1st shift support. The B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) will upgrade the baseline B-52 with new commercial or non-developmental-type engines to extend the service life of the B-52. This position can support various Military, Surveillance & Bomber(MS&B) programs on the San Antonio site. Primary Responsibilities: Knowledge of Parts, Materials and Processes related to Structures, mechanical systems. Understand machining processes, CNC requirements, and fastener installations Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Knowledge of manufacturing planning systems and ship side installation support preferred. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans and nonconformance plans. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies. Work with Industrial Engineering and IPT to sequence and integrate systems hardware installations with modification plan This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
• 2+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• 2+ years of experience utilizing professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.
• This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

• 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ or more years aircraft (or similar) maintenance knowledge
• 1+ or more years related Shipside experience (supporting operations and quality)
• 1+ years’ experience with IVT.
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
• Experience with CATIA.
• Experience with GoldEsp.
• Knowledge of manufacturing planning systems and ship side installation support preferred.
