Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team Requires: Azure Data Practice Architect will serve as a technical expert in Azure Data Practice, specializing in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. As a Practice Architect, you will design, architect, and implement scalable data solutions that enable real-time insights, robust data warehousing, and advanced analytics. With a hands-on approach, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact engagements, ensuring seamless data ingestion, modeling, and reporting capabilities. This role demands flexibility to lead diverse Azure data projects, from proof-of-concepts to enterprise-scale implementations, while fostering innovation and client success.

Requirements

  • Experience: 15+ years in data architecture, engineering, and analytics, with at least 8 years focused on Azure cloud data services.
  • Core Technical Skills: o Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, shortcuts, and unified analytics. o Advanced proficiency in Power BI for real-time reporting, DAX, Power Query, and integration with Fabric/Synapse. o Proven track record in data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes. o Hands-on experience building Enterprise architecture and data ingestion pipelines using Azure-native tools.
  • Experience with AI/ML integration (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services) for predictive analytics, model deployment, and embedding intelligence into data pipelines; Python, Databricks, or streaming analytics.
  • Hands-On Mindset: Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and perform technical implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization in fast-paced environments.
  • Flexibility: Proven versatility in leading varied Azure data engagements, from greenfield projects to migrations and modernizations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, facilitate workshops.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Fabric Analytics Engineer, or Power BI Data Analyst; Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Responsibilities

  • Architect End-to-End Data Solutions: Design and lead the implementation of comprehensive data architectures using Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouse, data engineering, data science, and real-time analytics workloads.
  • Power BI Expertise: Develop and optimize interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI, with a focus on real-time reporting, and performance tuning for large-scale datasets.
  • Data Warehousing and Modeling: Build and maintain enterprise-grade data warehouses, applying best practices in dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and ensuring data quality and governance.
  • Data Lake Implementation: Construct layered data pipelines following the best practices of architecture to transform raw data into actionable insights, leveraging Delta Lake and Spark for efficiency.
  • Data Ingestion and Orchestration: Design and deploy scalable ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, or Fabric Dataflows, supporting batch, streaming, and hybrid scenarios with tools like KQL, Event Hub.
  • Hands-On Delivery: Actively contribute to code development, debugging, and deployment in Azure environments, performing hands-on work as needed to unblock teams and ensure project momentum.
  • Engagement Leadership: Drive Azure data-related engagements end-to-end, from requirements gathering and solution scoping to deployment, optimization, and knowledge transfer, adapting to diverse client needs and technologies.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Partner with stakeholders, including developers, analysts, and business leaders, to align technical solutions with business objectives; stay ahead of Azure innovations to recommend forward-thinking architectures.
  • Mentorship and Best Practices: Guide junior team members on Azure data patterns, conduct code reviews, and promote adherence to security, compliance, and cost-optimization standards.
