Develops and manages the structured and unstructured data stores enterprise and mission-critical data environments. Provides expert-level support services for database creation, performance, monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning. Demonstrates database functional expertise mentoring, supporting, and training other team members. Responsible for core database administration tasks in a project team. Hours: Monday to Friday between 7 am-5 pm. Some occasional evening or weekend shifts based on projects and system implementation. Available for on-call support/rotation. Remote with occasional in-office meetings or projects. Able to travel within the metro area. Compensation & Benefits The annual salary range for this opportunity is $85,612 to $128,356, with a median salary of $106,984. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity. Salary is just one component of the compensation package for employees. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of 3 years’ experience with MS SQL Server and associated technologies (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, etc.). Installation and configuration experience with SQL Server 2008 (and higher), SQL Service Packs, and Cumulative Updates. Knowledge of SQL Server and Azure best practices regarding SQL licenses and Azure resources. Experience in administering Azure SQL Managed Instances. Preferred Experience in a healthcare environment. Experience with data warehousing technical development, data analysis, architecting ETL processes, and data mapping. Experience in administering clustered/high availability Azure SQL and Azure SQL Managed Instances. Experience in administering Azure Analysis Services. Experience administering Cosmos DB or other multi-modal, NoSQL, or unstructured data stores. Experience with other database systems like MySQL and NoSQL. Experience with Azure Data Lake. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of data storage technologies including but not limited to MS SQL database admin. In-depth knowledge of the differences between SQL, NoSQL, structured, and unstructured data stores and the ability to advise on the best approach to meet the given need. Ability to interpret client and staff needs through active listening and advanced communication skills. Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
