About The Position

PepsiCo’s Away From Home Regional Brand Building Team builds local marketing solutions that engage consumers and drive growth for our loved food & beverage brands with our customers. We partner with our customer teams to create and execute marketing programs that build equity, generate awareness, and grow volume for our brands, while driving traffic and creating buzz for our AFH customer partners. PepsiCo is looking for a strategic, creative, and results-oriented Associate Marketing Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. You will lead a strategic consumer and insights driven marketing agenda that will drive volume, topline growth, and brand equity. This experience will develop and showcase the ability to develop deep consumer understanding, identify growth opportunities and bring them to market to positively impact sales and profitability. This role will hone skills in building strong team dynamics, dealing with ambiguity, influencing at senior levels of the organization, and driving for results. As the AFH Associate Marketing Manager for West and Texoma, your mandate will be to drive growth by leading the marketing agenda both internally (across brand & sales teams) and externally with local customers. You will play a critical role in defining the future strategic direction and will be responsible for finding synergies between PBUS & customer strategies to deliver breakthrough programming. This role will also be responsible for 360° programming, managing budgets, activation logistics, and providing post program analysis. Note - Building strong relationships is integral to this role as you partner with your key account team, insights, brand teams and your customer’s marketing teams to build mutually beneficial programs together.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with consumer-packaged goods or Food Service industries preferred. Previous customer & channel experience mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability as a “big idea” thinker. Consumer-centric marketer who can identify relevant consumer insights and thrives on change within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven expertise in managing the agency process from brief to delivering best in class ideas, including ability to mobilize a diverse team of internal and external constituents to execute in the marketplace.
  • Strong leadership skills (i.e. able to present to senior management as well as external Customer and Agency partners) and ability to influence and understand varied points of view
  • Exceptional collaboration skills and high ability to influence within a matrixed environment and able to build & leverage informal network
  • May need to be on-site on occasion at a key national customer HQ (ex: Huntington Beach, CA) - TBD
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and oral)
  • Superior project management, logistics, and organizational skills
  • Superior analytical skillset with ability to find actionable, pragmatic solutions for complex problems
  • High proficiency in Power Point to develop visually impactful presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the marketing agenda for the Restaurant, Recreation, and Collegiate/Workplace channels, including priority customer accounts within the West, Texas, and Oklahoma region, in partnership with sales, to deliver against key growth metrics
  • Lead development of playbooks and toolkits/templates for all channels and leverage National strategies/programs to drive efficiencies and effectively localize programming
  • Business Growth: Build marketing strategies and conceptual presentations for AFH New Business (Renewals and RFPs) for priority restaurant prospects; uncover core consumer insights, establish joint objectives and create 360° strategies
  • Bring consumer-minded insights-led thinking to assist in the creation of partnership marketing strategy, creative development and sell in - keeping PepsiCo brands connected to the consumer (Both Channel and Customer-specific). Demonstrate leadership by building partnership opportunities through the development of innovative custom marketing solutions that achieve customer business objectives and PepsiCo brand goals.
  • Work in highly collaborative & cross-team environment, including Brand, Insights, Finance, Sales and Customer teams, manage internal and external agency partners, including leading and executing annual contractual media commitments
  • Support development and execution of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for all channels to develop full year marketing plans that drive business objectives, solve customer pain points and bring smiles to our consumers
  • Effectively manage A&M budget, which includes assisting to plan out full year spend, ongoing tracking, and budget reconciliation
