AVP – Technology Operations Innovation, Automation & Quantum Protection Role Overview: The AVP, Technology Operations Innovation, Automation & Quantum Protection is a senior leadership position responsible for developing, managing, and executing the organization’s strategy for technology operations and identity and access management (IAM), with a distinct focus on AI, automation, and quantum-resistant technologies. This leader drives the adoption of advanced methodologies to modernize identity governance, authentication, federation, and privileged access management, delivering seamless, secure, and user-centric experiences. The AVP partners closely with digital technology, security, legal, compliance, and customer experience teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and future-ready IAM solutions. This position can be based in Dallas, Charlotte, NJ or Atlanta. This role requires in-office presence 5 days per week and relocation assistance can be provided. Key Responsibilities: IAM Strategy & Innovation: Develop and execute the IAM modernization strategy, integrating AI-driven automation, quantum-resistant security, and innovative identity verification methods to align with business goals and regulatory requirements. Lead the adoption of advanced technologies, including applied AI and automation, to optimize identity governance, authentication/authorization, and privileged access. Technology Integration & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to embed AI-powered and automated solutions into IAM platforms, applications, and digital services. Monitor, analyze, and report on automation effectiveness; recommend and implement improvements using AI and automation to enhance identity verification, fraud detection, and customer experience. Industry & External Leadership: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IAM, AI, quantum computing, automation, and security. Track and codify guidance on IAM and AI standards and frameworks (such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS) for secure AI deployment in identity contexts. Engage with external partners and vendors to evaluate and manage IAM-related products, services, and AI/quantum-driven solutions. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. 15+ years of experience in identity and access management, including at least 10 years in a leadership role guiding modernization programs and platform teams. Extensive experience with API authentication and integration of identity solutions with customer-facing digital platforms. Demonstrated experience implementing and managing AI technologies, automation, and quantum innovations within IAM (e.g., machine learning for identity verification, behavioral analytics, automated fraud detection, ML-based anomaly detection, risk scoring, adaptive authentication, intelligent access provisioning). In-depth understanding of IAM technologies, protocols, and standards (e.g., OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML). Deep knowledge of compliance requirements and privacy regulations/frameworks impacting identity and AI (NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI, GDPR/CCPA). Proven track record in project management and cross-functional team leadership. Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications are a plus.
