About The Position

As a member of the Performance Marketing Center of Excellence, within the Synchrony Growth organization, the AVP, Marketing Preference & Consent Platforms serves as a consent & marketing preference platform expert within the Database Marketing organization. As part of the Database Marketing team, this role will support Preference Center leadership in effectively developing and managing the platform/program activities including consent banner roll-out, customer experience and preference engagement and other associated activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or information technology with 6+ years of marketing technology experience or in lieu of degree 8+ years of experience required
  • 6+ years of professional work experience, including:
  • 3+ years in a BA, BSA or similar role, gathering, writing & delivering detailed requirements to stakeholders, or similar product manager/owner role
  • 3+ years’ experience in Agile methodologies and processes
  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing technology and/or platforms, ideally within Consent Management
  • Experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL and Python with direct, hands-on experience within Preference & Consent Management platforms and tools.
  • Ability to manage consent, privacy and marketing preferences highly desired.
  • Experience working within an Agile framework, leveraging Jira and comfortable participating in Agile formalities including PI Planning, reviews and prioritization.
  • Demonstrated understanding and command of customer-facing platforms, applications or technologies

  • Understanding of the US Consent & Privacy landscape, including legal and regulatory policies, tools and platforms, and customer choice strategies.
  • Highly motivated, assertive self-starter with the ability to work autonomously or as a strong team participant
  • Experience with consumer financial services, ideally with exposure to credit card marketing or retail marketing.
  • Familiar with consumer protection, privacy and related laws and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Support Marketing Consent & Preference leadership in effectively developing, communicating and validating business requirements to cross-functional partners to ensure effective and timely product activations
  • Participate in testing, QA and validation efforts, partnering with cross-functional peers to evaluate implementation of communicated requirements
  • Support analytic and strategic reporting requests, and implement platform KPI's. Conduct analysis of performance trends. Provide insightful business performance reporting and make recommendations
  • Become a Consent & Preference platform SME, deeply understanding data and platform architecture, data flows and processes
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external partners in support of marketing integrations
  • Manage day-to-day build and run activities for consent-related activities, and perform other duties and/or special projects as required
