About The Position

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Information Systems is an integral role assisting the Technology Department in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day Helpdesk. The AVP of Information Systems position will ensure the business processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. The AVP position will function as the primary liaison between the bank's internal teams and external auditors, responsible for gathering, creating, and maintaining the requested audit information. The AVP of Information Systems will streamline the examination process, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to the bank's day-to-day operations. This position reports directly to Director of Information Systems.

Requirements

  • Experience managing others in a technical environment.
  • Proven experience working with auditors and technical support role.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Experience and understanding audit processes and evidence collection and delivery.
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft products, office automation products, databases, and remote control.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization from end-user to senior management about both business and IT needs including translating business requirements into functional/technical specifications.
  • Strong customer service experience required.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • Confident and self-motivated to work without direct supervision required.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in technical support or audit role.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong familiarity with Active Directory management tools preferred.
  • Experience with Help Desk ticketing systems is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day Helpdesk operations.
  • Manages all document requests, tracks status, and ensures they are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Compiles and organizes all necessary documentation and data requested by the auditors or examiners.
  • Recommends and facilitates implementation changes to improve work efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Ensures that all audit findings are fully resolved and closed out appropriately, including validation testing of remediation steps.
  • Assists in budgeting and resource planning for Technology departments.
  • Oversees the tracking and timely remediation of issues and deficiencies identified during the audit.
  • Serves as primary liaison with all auditors and assists in compiling and maintaining up-to-date procedures to streamline the processes through the buildout of SharePoint sites and control libraries.
