About The Position

The AVP/Director of IT & Business Intelligence is a multifaceted leadership role that combines IT oversight, data-driven decision-making, and organizational coordination. This position is responsible for managing enterprise-wide IT operations, leading business and intelligence initiatives. Acting as a key advisor and operational partner to senior leadership, the Director drives cross-functional collaboration, facilitates strategic planning, and supports executive communications and initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Digital & Innovation Officer, this role plays a pivotal part in translating vision into execution across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee enterprise IT operations
  • In partnership with CDIO, develop and implement IT plans aligned with organizational goals
  • Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and technology procurement
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and high-quality IT services across the organization
  • Lead digital transformation and technology adoption initiatives
  • Develops and enforces data governance policies to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across departments
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks and establishes standards for data definitions, reporting methodologies, and analytics tools to maintain alignment
  • Owns the enterprise BI platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and ensure they are scalable, secure, and user-friendly
  • Act as a strategic advisor and though partner to the executive team. Serve as liaison between Executive Team, IT, and Project Management by providing regular insights and updates on the status, performance, and direction of IT initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic priorities
  • Facilitate executive communications, including board materials, strategic updates, and leadership briefing
  • Drive operational efficiency by streamlining processes and improving interdepartmental collaboration
  • Lead special projects and initiatives on behalf of senior leadership
  • Lead and mentor teams of IT professionals, analysts, and data scientists
  • Create and manage project roadmaps, ensuring proper resourcing and prioritization
  • Oversee project portfolios, timelines, and deliverables to meet business objectives
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
