Overview: Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Director of Business Intellignece to join our Revenue Management team in Dallas! Working closely with senior leadership, this role requires advanced analytical and influential communication abilities. This role has an instrumental impact on driving revenue while improving overall team performance and execution. As part of Omni’s Revenue Management team, you will contribute to the company’s ability to meet financial and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of data analysis, reporting, business intelligence and data visualization experience with an emphasis on Sales and Marketing performance
  • Strong experience with databases, SQL language, and SQL Server Management Studio as well as SAS enterprise-level server and desktop tools
  • Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Business Administration, Data/Analytics, Technology, Hospitality, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in hotel revenue management.
  • Experience and expertise in data analysis, reporting, and platform management; specifically within hospitality.
  • Experience and expertise in data visualization tools such as Microsoft BI or Tableau.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities catered to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities as needed.
  • Experience delivering analysis findings to senior leaders

Responsibilities

  • Enable a data-driven decision-making culture throughout the property and above-property organizations
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to assess industry trends and develop strategic objectives that maximize Omni’s utilization of data and systems.
  • Collaborate, create and analyze budgets as a critical enabler of the annual budget process.
  • Develop and manage applications that produce vital revenue trends, analytics, and reports that are used by the revenue management team to successfully optimize pricing strategies.
  • Create, monitor, and analyze reports and analytics that support overall revenue optimization across all customer segments and distribution channels.
  • Provide strategic recommendations, based on thorough analysis, for maximizing revenue management systems.
  • Identify potential improvements to Omni’s revenue management systems and analytics to ensure that all tools and applications are competitive within the industry.
  • Conduct analysis of promotions and special marketing campaigns to provide results and recommendations for future strategic opportunities.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer business questions, both asked and anticipated, covering the full cycle of requirements gathering, data discovery, methodology creation, execution, communication documentation, results presentation, and addressing follow-on questions
  • Stay informed on trends within analytics and data visualization areas to be used as best practices.
