Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive corporate accounting and financial reporting experience, ideally across both public company and industry roles.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting matters.
• Proven leadership overseeing accounting teams and operational budgets.
• Strong SOX, internal controls, and audit management experience.
• Demonstrated success leading ERP implementations and driving process transformation within global finance organizations.
• Experience in revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and complex transaction accounting.
• Ability to lead operational improvements, including close-cycle reduction and automation initiatives (AI-enabled or otherwise).
• Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership and audit committees.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Accounting preferred).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with global accounting operations.
• Background supporting major capital markets events, including debt offerings or refinancing transactions.
• Knowledge of NetSuite and/or Oracle ERP environments.
• Ability to drive measurable EBITDA improvements and operational efficiency through accounting insights.
• Familiarity with AI-driven finance automation and “push-button” close or variance analysis tools.
• Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s accounting and financial reporting organization, overseeing operational accounting, monthly/quarterly close, consolidation, technical accounting, and internal controls.
• Own the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Oversee compliance, internal audit coordination, and audit committee communications.
• Direct accounting operations including revenue recognition, lease accounting, intercompany accounting, and statutory compliance for entities.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including implementation and optimization of ERP systems, financial automation, and close acceleration.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders in FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and Operations to support strategic decision-making.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including debt issuance, leasing, and significant customer/vendor arrangements.
• Support financial aspects of capital market transactions, including credit agreements, offering memoranda, and reporting deliverables.
• Serve as a hands-on leader who mentors and develops accounting talent while cultivating a high-performance and continuous-improvement culture.
