About the Team Our Technology Services Group team is responsible for driving cloud architecture strategy and engineering excellence across Moody’s enterprise. We enable secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions that power critical business applications. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in multi-cloud environments, automation, and infrastructure innovation, leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance operational efficiency and foster responsible technology adoption

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on cloud engineering and architecture experience
  • Strong expertise with AWS (primary focus), including VPC design, compute services, security patterns, and infrastructure automation
  • Working knowledge of Azure and/or GCP architectures and services
  • Expert-level Terraform skills – ability to create reusable modules and implementations
  • Proficiency in Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation
  • Understanding of cloud networking concepts: VPC design, hybrid connectivity, load balancing, DNS, CDN, and security patterns
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design cloud architecture patterns and reference implementations across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
  • Build reusable Terraform modules and implement cloud solutions hands-on
  • Develop proof-of-concepts and validate approaches before rollout
  • Establish architectural standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and automation
  • Mentor distributed engineering teams on cloud-native patterns and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Conduct code reviews and pair programming sessions to elevate team capabilities
  • Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual processes and establish “ZeroTouch” operational patterns
  • Collaborate with leadership on multi-year cloud platform strategy and capability development
