About The Position

The AVP, Cash Management provides strategic oversight for the Treasury Operations department. Responsible for the organization's cash management functions, including cash positioning, forecasting, monitoring and reporting of Jackson's financial position and liquidity sufficiency within Jackson's operating perameters and risk posture.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial regulations in the insurance/financial services industry.
  • Possesses up-to-date knowledge of new regulatory developments.
  • Excellent knowledge of treasury operations and strategies.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to analyze problems, synthesize detailed information, identify key issues and drivers, make balanced recommendations/decisions, and execute solutions.
  • Highly developed leadership, strategic, critical thinking, and relationship management skills.
  • Positive, results-oriented attitude. Actively seeks to improve processes and obtain results.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations to upper management, regulators, and other external parties.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required to complete complex work to financial models.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially when articulating technical concepts in a compelling manner to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced evolving environment with voluminous demands.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of accounting, finance, or treasury experience required.
  • 8+ years of management experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree and/or certification preferred.
  • Varied life insurance and/or financial services experience preferred.
  • Experience with coding in Python or similar programming language to make complex updates to financial models preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight of Jackson’s liquidity and collateral management process.
  • Drives process improvements around systems and technology used to manage and forecast liquidity and collateral positions.
  • Participates in the development of cash management and liquidity strategies and facilities.
  • Ensures processes and procedures sufficiently manage risk and are appropriate for audit or regulatory scrutiny.
  • Communicates financial results, cash position, and project status, as applicable, to senior management and external parties.
  • Prepares and/or provides detailed reports and summaries for senior management and/or external parties.
  • Conducts review of formal reports prepared by staff.
  • Coordinates with other departments in pursuit of the successful completion of corporate objectives.
  • Establishes and supports high performance standards for individual team members, monitoring progress in achieving those standards.
  • Fosters the development of a common vision, provides clear direction and priorities, and clarifies roles and responsibilities.
  • Communicates corporate objectives/vision with staff.
  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
