About The Position

The AVP, Affiliation Consultant serves as a trusted strategic partner for financial advisors evaluating their affiliation with LPL. This role owns complex advisor conversion opportunities and plays a key role in advancing LPL’s organic growth strategy and broader corporate development objectives. This AVP will proactively identify, develop, and close opportunities by delivering consultative insights, financial analysis, and tailored solutions that align to advisor goals. Success in this role requires strong sales and business acumen, executive presence, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments while driving measurable outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an independent broker-dealer setting, demonstrating deep understanding of advisor affiliation models
  • 5+ years’ experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office products
  • Highly motivated and resilient by achieving sales targets consistently
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage leaders, advisors, and internal partners
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and advance a robust pipeline of affiliation conversion opportunities.
  • Lead strategic, consultative engagements with advisors to understand business objectives and guide evaluation of affiliation models best aligned to their goals.
  • Maintain specialized expertise regarding LPL’s affiliation models, including existing capabilities and the roadmap for future development.
  • Build strong relationships and partner cross-functionally with internal business partners to develop innovative solutions to meet advisor needs.
  • Support strategic initiatives to drive affiliation opportunities and related program management deliverables.
