About The Position

Join a team where precision meets performance. We are hiring immediately for full-time Avionics Technician B in our Service Center. Join us for 8th shift, this position comes with an added benefit of a shift differential. In this role, you can expect to troubleshoot and repair avionics systems, perform functional and in-flight testing, and ensure compliance with FAA standards. You’ll work from detailed wiring diagrams and collaborate with pilots to validate system performance. Your responsibilities may include (but not limited to): · Test & Diagnose Systems: Conduct functional tests to isolate issues, analyze in-flight data, and determine corrective actions · Troubleshooting & Repair: Identify wiring discrepancies, replace defective units, and perform necessary modifications using diagrams and service instructions · Install & Align Equipment: Execute wiring repairs and system adjustments to meet operational and regulatory standards · Collaborate During Flight Tests: Accompany pilots to validate repaired or aligned systems for optimal performance · Follow Technical Documentation: Work from aircraft orders, wiring diagrams, and written instructions to complete tasks accurately · Maintain Compliance: Ensure all work meets FAA procedures and safety standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; two years of college or technical school preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft avionics systems troubleshooting and repair
  • Knowledge of electronics and ability to use test equipment related to avionics systems
  • Familiarity with avionics systems including communication, navigation, autopilot, flight director, and pulse equipment (DME, transponder, weather radar)
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, aircraft orders, and written instructions
