About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking Avionics System Integration Engineers to lead avionics integration across mission-critical platforms such as F‑15, F/A‑18, F‑22, T‑7, MQ‑25 and other Advanced Programs in Berkeley, Hazelwood, or Saint Charles, Missouri . In this role, you will architect and validate avionics solutions, coordinate cross-Integrated Product Team (IPT) technical execution, and deliver certified, combat-ready capabilities that directly impact warfighter effectiveness. Our teams are currently hiring for both Experienced and Senior Level Avionics System Integration Engineers. A successful candidate will be a: Program Integration Specialist : Act as the integrator ensuring seamless avionics development and platform integration, driving project success through cross-disciplinary coordination Collaborative Communicator : Engage stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements, fostering shared understanding and alignment Change Management Advocate : Proactively manage changes, assessing impacts on scope, schedule, and resources to maintain project momentum Quality Assurance : Ensure requirements meet rigorous standards for clarity, completeness, and testability, delivering reliable and effective systems Cross-Functional Collaborator : Work closely with systems engineers, architects, and subject matter experts to integrate requirements into the overall system architecture Continuous Improvement Advocate : Identify and implement process improvements within requirements management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness This position is expected to be 100% onsite (no hybrid or remote options). The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. T ravel may be required; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • 3+ years of avionics experience
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Level 4 Senior : 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience with tactical/defense aircraft platforms and systems
  • Experience supporting military safety-critical and/or mission-critical system hardware and software certification
  • Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
  • Experience with architecture modeling tools (e.g. Magic Systems of Systems Architect (MSOSA), Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Rational System Architect, Rational Software Architect, or MagicDraw)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall technical integration of avionics onto the platforms, whether developed by Boeing, suppliers, or government entities
  • Own and direct the integrated product across IPTs, maintaining the technical baseline, configuration definitions, and specifications
  • Approve and ensure all technical aspects of avionics integration comply with Boeing and program requirements
  • Lead avionics integration Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) and ensure designs meet performance, qualification, and acceptance criteria
  • Review and approve Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
  • Manage avionics program technical reviews including System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and facilitate Engineering Review Board (ERB) processes
  • Oversee all functional system integration and test activities
  • Coordinate with other system functions such as Airworthiness, Safety, Electronic Warfare (E3), Human Factors Engineering (HFE), and SCFTA
  • Collaborate with impacted teams including Mission Systems, Air Vehicle, Platform Systems, and Software
  • Support Technical Design Reviews (TDRs) and Non-Advocate Reviews (NARs)
