Overview Job Summary Responsible to fabricate, assemble, install and terminate avionics and medical systems wiring harnesses for aircraft completions. Perform continuity and power and ground checks for post installation wiring accuracy. Perform configurations and calibration of avionics and medical equipment. Perform post installation system operational checks. Be able to perform complex troubleshooting and repair discrepancies. Operate multiple types of avionics test equipment. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Fabricate avionics, electrical, and medical wiring systems to engineering schematic specifications Check drawings, job cards and parts kits for accuracy and applicability for assigned tasks and advises lead and/or supervisor of deficiencies Review drawings for clarity and manufacturing interpretation Troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft electrical, avionics, and medical systems per manufacturer’s instructions, engineering schematics and accepted industry practices Record work progress, certifications, completion and testing on various production documents per ISO/AS standards and established company policies Assist with planning and documenting in-flight testing, certification, and troubleshooting procedures Ensure and maintain a safe work environment Participate in weekly program status meetings Provide hours and materials estimates for proposals Coordinate and communicate with other manufacturing departments, Engineering, and Production Control Other Duties as assigned. Additional Job Requirements Regular scheduled attendance Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 5% Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
