Live Sound Account Manager Job Summary Avid Live Sound Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion in Avid's Live Sound solutions. This role focuses on developing and managing strategic relationships with key customers, partners, resellers, and system integrators to support and expand the use of Avid’s industry-leading Live Sound solutions. The Live Sound Account Manager works cross-functionally with Pre-sales, Partner Account Managers, Marketing, and Product teams to support partner enablement, joint go-to-market initiatives, and achievement of shared business objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years experience in the live sound industry or related technology markets is required.
  • 5+ Years of sales experience with a proven track record of hitting targets and forecast accuracy.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with professional FOH mixing consoles (Avid Venue, DiGiCo, Allen & Heath and/or others), signal routing, audio effects, and digital audio protocols (e.g., Dante, AES50, Optocore) is essential.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills are necessary for effective client and team interaction.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to handle complex projects and troubleshoot technical issues under pressure in a live event environment.

Nice To Haves

  • An HND/Degree in Electronic Engineering, Music Technology, or a related field may be preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Avid’s solutions or related technologies in video, audio, and media production is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal Sales and Marketing teams to develop joint campaigns, demand-generation activities, and solution offerings.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to position Avid solutions effectively.
  • Work closely with the Avid Sales and Technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive revenue growth, meet or exceed sales targets, and expand market share in the live sound sector.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including production companies, sound engineers, designers, and end-users (e.g., in tours, theaters, broadcast).
  • Act as an industry educator, conducting customer needs assessments and positioning tailored Avid Venue | S6L solutions that solve business challenges.
  • Plan and execute in-person meetings and live demonstrations of products.
  • Attend industry trade shows to generate new leads and keep abreast of market trends.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, track opportunities in CRM tools, and work with upper management to forecast sales, inventory, and profitability.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and technical support teams to refine messaging, ensure seamless pre- and post-sales success, and provide market intelligence for future product development.
  • Assist with proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
