About The Position
To aid and support students and the District by providing tutoring services to AVID elective students.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Strong Math and English background, evidenced by HS Transcript
Responsibilities
- Evaluate student binders, including calendars, class and textbook notes, etc.
- Assist students in any subject area where help is needed.
- Assist in teaching study skills and other skills needed for college preparation.
- Conduct tutorial sessions in all areas.
- Set an example of personal excellence and high expectations for AVID students to follow.
- Communicate frequently and honestly with the AVID Site Coordinator/teacher regarding student progress and areas of concern.
- Must attend six (6) hours of AVID training within first 30 days of employment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
