About The Position

AV & VTC Technician, Senior Key Role : Apply current infrastructure expertise in supporting video teleconferencing ( VTC ) and collaborative Audiovisual ( AV ) efforts using Micro sof t Teams. Support VTC and AV with cabling, equipment installations, and configuration, supporting pulling and running cables for new equipment installation. Interpret blueprints, instructions, or user guides to install and configure a new VTC and AV environment. Provide customer insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Use technical expertise to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in mission-critical networks. Provide customer support for highly visible VTC and AV operations and troubleshooting efforts. Ensure the customer's events are monitored and resolve conference interruptions as soon as possible. Troubleshoot and repair multimedia equipment and data cabling, including ceiling-mounted video projectors, wall control switches, cable patch panels, speakers, powered screens, consoles, and multimedia equipment. Diagnose and repair equipment issues that have been escalated to Tier III and sustain the IT and AV support for all daily operation and maintenance of the AV and administrator for Micro sof t Teams Live events for Auditorium events.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience providing IT or communications systems support
  • 6+ years of experience with AV and VTC solutions through maintenance, design, installation, configuration, or systems management
  • Experience troubleshooting AV systems
  • Knowledge of AV systems integration with MS Teams
  • Knowledge of Extron or Cisco control systems or switch programming
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Security+ Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AMX, Polycom, and Creston AV configuration and programming
  • Experience using ServiceNow and program management tools, such as MS Project and Jira
  • Ability to work independently to complete assignments and projects effectively and in a timely manner
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree
