About The Position

The AV Technician will be joining a highly successful and functional Entertainment/ AV team that supports the needs of Graton Resort and Casino. This position is responsible for all Audio-Visual equipment and systems with the purpose of creating the best possible guest experience. This role assists in the setup, operation, and striking of live events, as well as supporting third party vendors needed to successfully operate an event.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Requires the availability for all shifts and hours to support business needs.
  • A passion for the Audio-Visual field, being able to learn new technologies in a rapidly evolving industry.
  • Minimum of one (1) years' experience with commercial Audio-Visual software and hardware.
  • Knowledge of signal flow in both audio and video systems to ensure proper setup and performance.
  • Proficient in setting up and managing wiring, connectors, and cabling for both audio and video systems.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Working knowledge and/or experience in maintaining the following: a. Television Displays QC b. Sound Systems QC c. Live entertainment support

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CAT6 repair and Termination is a plus
  • Experience in COAX repair and Termination is a plus
  • Experience in Fiber optic repair and termination is a plus
  • Experience with Crestron control systems is a plus
  • Live Event Support

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor audio levels throughout property, adjust required channel programming such as sporting events that are broadcast throughout property using the Crestron distribution system on IPAD.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all AV requirements are met based on business needs and the event calendar.
  • Setup and monitor Live music performances for nightly entertainment and special events to ensure quality sound, presentation and production.
  • Utilize M32R Midas digital mixer to control sound quality for live music at various locations on property.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on all AV software and hardware.
  • Constantly monitor the casino floor, ensuring that all audio and visual screens are functioning properly.
  • Set up, assist, and operate AV equipment for live events including setting up microphones, speakers, audio mixers, lighting effects, facilitating bands and DJs.
  • Assist third-party resources that may be required to support an event, such as sound and lighting engineers.
  • Taking a proactive approach to ensuring AV system performance, reliability, and support, while also recommending solutions to address system issues.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding AV software/hardware problems.
  • Help maintain AV equipment inventory, ensuring that commonly used items are in stock and available.
  • Troubleshoot and repair software and hardware as needed.
  • Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding Audio Visual and Low Voltage infrastructures.
