About The Position

Build the Systems That Power World Class Experiences Triton Technical is looking for a skilled A/V Technician who thrives on hands- on work, clean installs, and solving complex technical challenges. If you take pride in precision cable management, enjoy working with cutting- edge AV and IT systems, and don't mind rolling up your sleeves in demanding environments-including travel and specialty installations-this role is for you. You'll be a key part of our Integration team, installing, maintaining , and troubleshooting advanced audio/visual, control, IT, and communication systems while upholding Triton Technical's high standards of quality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years of experience in low voltage systems, structured cabling, or AV integration
  • Strong hands- on experience pulling, routing, and terminating CAT6a/7, fiber, and coax cabling
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and wiring documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Physical ability to work in hot, confined, or specialty environments (including ships or yachts)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with: Crestron control systems Lutron lighting and shading Apple TV, Kaleidescape , and media distribution platforms Maritime AV, IT, and communication systems BICSI, AVIXA (CTS / CTS I), or manufacturer certifications Experience in marine, yacht, or specialty installations Familiarity with enterprise grade Wi Fi and network infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Cable Installation & Infrastructure Pull, route, and install AV, network (CAT6a/7), and fiber optic cabling for new builds and system upgrades Identify safe, efficient cable pathways through walls, ceilings, racks, and bulkheads Install systems in accordance with design schematics, industry standards, and manufacturer guidelines
  • Cable Management & Protection Bundle, label, and secure cabling using Velcro, lacing bars, and professional mounting methods Protect cabling from heat, moisture, vibration, and movement Build clean, serviceable, and visually professional equipment racks
  • Termination, Testing & Troubleshooting Terminate RJ45, coaxial, fiber optic, and other low voltage connections Test cabling for performance, signal integrity, and compliance with system design Troubleshoot AV, IT, and network issues with confidence and efficiency Fiber termination experience is a plus
  • Documentation & Site Coordination Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring lists Document field changes and contribute to accurate " as built " documentation Communicate site conditions, challenges, and deviations clearly to project managers and engineers
  • System Maintenance & Client Support Maintain audio/visual, IT, control, and communication systems Diagnose and resolve issues with displays, audio systems, media servers, and Wi Fi networks Support service calls, upgrades, and ongoing client needs
  • Safety & Professionalism Work safely in confined, elevated, or physically demanding environments Follow job site safety protocols and keep work areas clean and organized Represent Triton Technical with professionalism when working with clients, vendors, and teammates
