About The Position

Moove is seeking a highly organized and technically proficient AV Service Advisor to serve as the operational bridge between Field Operations and the Maintenance organization. This role is critical to maximizing fleet uptime by ensuring precise technical triage, disciplined documentation, and intelligent prioritization of service work across a 24/7 autonomous vehicle operation. The AV Service Advisor is responsible for orchestrating service workflows, validating technical documentation, and enforcing safety and quality standards while balancing immediate operational needs with long-term fleet health.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive service advising, fleet maintenance coordination, or dealership service operations. High-uptime fleet experience (rental, logistics, emergency services) is strongly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Post-secondary education in Automotive Technology, Logistics, or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Previous technician experience or strong mechanical aptitude is highly preferred to support technical triage, RCA, and technician feedback.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with maintenance management systems and enterprise resource planning tools for inventory and work order tracking.
  • Expert knowledge of warranty documentation standards, specifically the “4 Cs” methodology, with the ability to audit technician notes for compliance and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with EV and AV systems including high-voltage batteries, advanced driver assistance systems calibration, sensor systems, and vehicle cleaning systems. Ability to distinguish cosmetic issues from safety-critical failures.
  • Strong data literacy with proficiency in spreadsheet tools to track and visualize KPIs such as turnaround time and planned-versus-unplanned service ratios.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume vehicle backlogs and make rapid prioritization decisions that balance fast-turn PMs against critical repairs.
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors and body shops, as well as managing internal parts logistics to minimize downtime.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly for inter-shift handovers and operational reporting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety standards with the confidence to ground vehicles for safety risks despite operational pressure.
  • Experience maintaining high quality scores and enforcing standard work procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules across AM, PM, and Moonlight shifts to support 24/7 fleet operations.
  • Ability to move throughout a fast-paced depot environment including service desks, parts areas, and vehicle staging zones.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between field operations and the maintenance department to streamline and synchronize all vehicle service requests.
  • Lead the technical assessment of vehicles returning from the field, prioritizing repairs based on shift requirements (AM, PM, or Moonlight) to maximize fleet availability.
  • Schedule maintenance tasks by balancing routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) with urgent, disruptive repairs to optimize depot throughput.
  • Collaborate directly with operations supervisors to identify and expedite vehicles from staging that are ready for service without technical intervention.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis on chronic or recurring vehicle issues to develop long-term mitigation strategies and prevent future system failures.
  • Oversee the full workflow within the maintenance management system, ensuring every entry adheres to strict standards for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
  • Monitor individual vehicle histories to identify failure patterns and hardware trends.
  • Maintain a continuous feedback loop with the technician team, sharing insights from operational data to improve repair accuracy and refine shop processes.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators including average turnaround time, responsiveness, and planned-versus-unplanned service ratios.
  • Lead seamless shift handovers through comprehensive reporting, ensuring ongoing repairs and critical fleet issues are visible to incoming teams.
  • Identify operational gaps and translate them into process improvements using data-driven insights from work orders, vehicle histories, and KPIs.
  • Enforce rigorous documentation standards, ensuring technicians provide detailed “4 Cs” (Condition, Cause, Correction, Confirmation) for warranty and engineering reviews.
  • Monitor depot quality metrics and intervene when documentation gaps or low scores are identified to maintain high performance standards.
  • Ensure triage and service documentation provides sufficient technical justification to support strong warranty claim acceptance rates.
  • Verify that scheduling and prioritization of repairs align with established safety protocols and Moove’s operational uptime requirements.
