AV Lead Installer/Programmer

Amplify PeopleScottsdale, AZ

About The Position

We are partnering with a luxury residential integration firm based in Scottsdale, AZ. For over 20 years, this team has delivered white-glove service and cutting-edge technology to discerning clients throughout the region. Known for treating every project like a work of art, this company values detail, integrity, and excellence in everything they do—from installation to client education and ongoing support. We’re seeking a Lead Installer / Programmer who can lead by example on the job site, guiding a younger team, ensuring top-quality installations, and handling light-to-moderate programming responsibilities. This person will serve as the “right hand” to the Director of Operations, freeing him up to focus on higher-level business needs. The ideal candidate is someone with solid technical chops, clean and professional presentation, and a collaborative spirit—someone who is just as comfortable helping wire a rack as they are supporting teammates or talking with high-end clientele.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience in residential AV and home integration, including installation and programming.
  • Strong experience with Lutron control systems is required.
  • A natural leader who leads through action and mentorship—not ego.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive
  • Comfortable in high-end homes with a polished, professional demeanor.
  • Ability to manage job site accountability and uphold team standards.
  • A true team player who embodies the “VP and janitor” mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Araknis networking, Bang & Olufsen, Control4, URC, and other AV/control platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of installers on job sites, ensuring work is completed to company standards.
  • Act as a hands-on installer while taking ownership of job quality, accountability, and client communication.
  • Perform Lutron lighting control programming and minor programming across platforms such as Control4 and URC.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to support change orders, scheduling, and field-related project needs.
  • Uphold the company’s white-glove service standards with professional presentation and attention to detail.
  • Assist with equipment staging and verify completed work through testing and quality checks.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and confidence in front of homeowners and project partners.

Benefits

  • PTO and paid company holidays
  • Health, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Company-provided equipment
  • Simple IRA
  • Supportive team culture with opportunities for growth
