About The Position

Intelligent Video Solutions (IVS) is looking for summer help in our AV Field Installation Technicians team! If you want to travel and are looking for a temporaty position this job is for you! An AV Field Install Technician will install network cameras & live audio equipment with unsurpassed precision while representing IVS in the field. The AV Technician will drive or fly to install cameras & audio. You will travel nationally about 80% of the time. While in the office, the Audio-Visual Technician is responsible for picking orders, configuring servers, testing cameras & audio. No experience? No Problem! IVS provides robust hands-on training in a simulated environment with relevant hardware, w ebinars, and t raining videos. Goals are clearly defined and resources to help you be successful are readily available. Travel Requirements : 90% domestic 10% local. The amount of travel varies but you can expect to be in the field 90-100% of the time over the summer. You will typically depart on a Monday and return home each Friday. You must love to travel to new places, be professional, team focused and dedicated to producing the highest quality projects. All your travel expenses are paid for by IVS, along with meals while on the road. You'll be working in commercial buildings, mostly indoors, in anything from a casual business to sensitive government facilities. Starting Pay: You will be paid $20.00 an hour and be eligible for a bonus per successfully completed job. You will also be eligible for a bonus if you successfully complete training and work 10 weeks and 250 hours during the summer break (after training completed). Here is what you need to excel in this role : - Providing exceptional customer service before, during, and after the project is paramount. - Be 18 years of age. - Be available for 4 weeks (6-10 hrs per week) for training prior to summer break. - Have a Real ID or Passport. - Be able to be positive, calm, engaging, and confident attitude even in the most challenging situations. - Be able to travel for 5 days as a time, leaving on Monday and returning on Friday in most cases. - Have physical dexterity to handle power tools, climb ladders and lift up to 50lbs. K nowledge of low voltage cabling, IP video cameras, network technologies, and knowledge of Linux helpful. We work hard, but we know how to have fun!
