About The Position

We are seeking an AV Technician / Event Support Specialist to join our in-house audiovisual team. This role supports high-profile corporate meetings and live events, including executive presentations, CEO town halls, and internal communications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and eager to grow technically in a live-event, corporate environment. This position blends hands-on AV system operation with real-time event support, requiring strong technical fundamentals and excellent service-oriented communication.

Requirements

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Years of experience: 2+
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: – Audio mixers (digital consoles preferred) – Video switchers (Blackmagic preferred) – Video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
Strong technical aptitude with audio, video, and broadcast signal flow
Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in live, high-pressure environments
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to operational consistency
Strong communication and customer-service skills when working with executives and presenters
Ability to follow technical documentation, checklists, and standard operating procedures
Collaborative mindset with IT, production, and operations teams
Willingness to learn new systems, workflows, and technologies
Regularly walks, sits, stands, lifts up to 50 lbs., and does computer work.

Responsibilities

Assist with the setup, operation, and strike of audiovisual systems for executive meetings and corporate events – 30%
Operate and monitor cameras, audio mixers, video switchers, and LED wall systems – 20%
Serve as backup operator for video switching, audio mixing, and Zoom/Teams event management – 15%
Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and professionally during live events – 15%
Maintain and organize AV equipment, cabling, racks, and storage areas – 10%
Follow established runbooks and checklists; contribute to documentation and training materials – 5%
Collaborate with IT, camera operators, and support staff to ensure smooth event execution – 5%
Other duties as assigned
