AV Event Onsite Support Technician
About The Position
Milestone Technologies is looking for a technician with a passion for live events, audio-visual experience, and a commitment to program excellence to join our Event Operations Team. The Event Operations Team provides comprehensive event production services, including technical coordination, presentation setup and support, AV/VC services, streaming, and management. Events may range from small team meetings with a simple video conferencing to large company-wide productions with streaming/recording/video assets. This role acts as the point of contact for AV operational work, including break/fix, vendor facilitation, and ‘sweeps’ of our AV spaces.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2+ years of AV/Event production in a corporate environment
- Minimum 5 years experience with AV/VC Event Support
- Experience owning an event end to end from event request to technical execution
- Knowledge of VC hardware: Google Meet, Zoom, etc.
- Operational experience with event production equipment such as soundboards, audio mixers, camera controllers, video switchers, streaming codecs, microphones, etc
- Working knowledge of editing software, basic cinematography, and lighting
- Previous experience in customer-facing or client support role
- Versed in Apple OS, presentation software like Keynote, and PPT
- Ability to lead and respond to changes in a short time frame; stay cool under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Love of video production and everything that comes with live productions
Responsibilities
- Review client requests and provide technical direction for the planning, scheduling, and, delivery of services
- Execute AV productions as assigned, whether in the studio or a live event
- Work with our AV team on operational tasks such as break/fix or in-room support
- Operate PTZ cameras, video switchers, digital audio mixers, and Crestron routing systems for large and medium scale events
- Manage streaming encoding and quality during live events; trim and deliver recorded events
- Act as the technical point person during board meetings and high-profile conference calls
- Oversee vendor technicians on larger scale events
- Contribute to documentation of on-site equipment and protocols
