About The Position

Key Responsibilities: · Review and Draft AutoCAD Drawings, including – signal & power flow, mechanical, elevation, presets & layouts · Work with Planar Sales team to define scope of project and details to provide accurate drawings · Revise drawings as needed as project changes/grows · Support the Design Team with additional tasks such providing updates internally & externally, data configuration, short-term objectives Key Relationships: · Design Team · Application Engineers & Sales Team Members · Project Managers · Contractors Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: · Excellent interpersonal communication, time management, and decision-making skills are essential · Ability to learn Planar products and uses quickly – previous knowledge a plus! · Familiarity with SharePoint and systems related to SharePoint like Power Automate & Power Flow · Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate appropriate information to customers and team members in a professional manner · Ability to apply critical thinking skills and natural curiosity to the investigative and problem-solving process by extracting and analyzing relevant information from various systems and drawing accurate conclusions to resolve issues · Demonstrated strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment · Demonstrated ability as a self-starter able to work effectively in a team environment · Mental ability to conduct on-going interpersonal interactions, analyze and solve problems essential · Ability to actively participate in team development and team-oriented processes · Physical ability to use computer hardware/software required · Associate’s degree in engineering, architecture, drafting, modeling or similar or equivalent experience · Proficient in AutoCAD for 2D Drafting & Design – 1 year of professional experience minimum, more preferred · Revit experience preferred · Autodesk Vault experience preferred · SolidWorks or Autodesk 3D modeling experience preferred · Previous experience using a personal computer with a Windows operating system required · Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, and skills including the ability to analyze data using Excel and report on it to various audiences · CRM (Customer Relation Management) system experience preferred, particularly Salesforce Other Requirements: · Work either In-Office or from home, frequent Teams meetings with manager & other parties · M-F, 8-hour days, generally 7am-4pm All benefits start on first day of employment! 75% employer-paid medical for employee.
