About The Position

The A/V & IT Support Technician is responsible for supporting the installation, configuration, and operation of conference room technology, A/V systems, and end-user IT equipment. This role ensures that audio, video, networking, and collaboration tools function reliably to support meetings, events, and daily business operations. The technician provides on-site technical support, assists with system setup and troubleshooting, and helps maintain a high-quality user experience for clients and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Audio/Visual Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in A/V support, IT support, or network administration
  • Advanced hands-on experience with video conferencing systems (Crestron, Neat, Logi, Poly, Qsys) and video conference platforms (e.g., Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, WebEx)
  • Advanced knowledge of signal flow of video conferencing systems and individual peripherals
  • Experience with audio systems, projectors, displays, and lighting equipment
  • Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems, basic networking concepts, and common office applications
  • Thrive in high pressure environments while keeping a calm, professional demeanor
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear, concise, and professional manner while delivering a positive client experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve technical issues quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to read diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and move moderate equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work on ladders when necessary
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to train and guide end-users

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, operating, and troubleshooting Conference Room A/V systems for executive level meetings, presentations, and general room use
  • Provide technical support to users experiencing issues with A/V systems, computers, or network connectivity
  • Preventative maintenance of installed A/V systems to ensure flawless daily functionality and reduce equipment failures
  • Install, configure, and support conference room technology including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems
  • Assist with installation and configuration of hardware such as workstations, printers, and other technology devices
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues including local area networks, wireless network access, device connectivity, etc.
  • Read diagrams, drawings, and work orders to ensure proper equipment placement and system functionality
  • Responsible for equipment inventory, activity and error logs, quality control, and repairs
  • Train users on conference room technology and collaboration tools to ensure effective use of systems
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, internal teams, and project managers to ensure technology is running successfully
  • Stay current on emerging A/V, collaboration, and IT technologies
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
