About The Position

Waynflete School is seeking a thoughtful, organized, and community-minded professional to join our Auxiliary Programs team. The Auxiliary Programs Manager plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our Extended Day program, Vacation Camps, and Faculty and Staff Childcare during the school year, and serves as a member of the Summer at Waynflete Leadership Team during the summer months. Schedule & Compensation School Year (Mid August – Mid June): 20-29 hours/week, Monday–Friday; remote work available outside of in-person hours Summer (Mid June – Mid August): Up to 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; all hours in-person Part-time, exempt position; salary equates to $23-26/hour based on experience With an institutional commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Waynflete seeks candidates who are practicing, and want to further develop, inclusive methods in their teaching, teamwork, and leadership. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation Management, or related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience working with children in an educational or youth program setting
  • 2+ years of team leadership experience
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certified
  • Proficiency in Google Suite

Nice To Haves

  • WFA/WFR preferred
  • CampBrain experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support a team of 13+ Extended Day staff
  • Manage staff scheduling, payroll timecards, and professional development
  • Oversee program logistics, enrollment, family communication, and budget tracking
  • Ensure DHHS licensing compliance and student safety across all programs
  • Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and the broader Portland community
