Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician is required.
Experience performing maintenance and repairs on all makes and models, including domestic, Asian, and some European vehicles.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a focus on accurately identifying root causes—not just replacing parts.
Solid understanding of electrical systems, drivability issues, and mechanical repairs.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Used Car Technician or work in a used car dealership or independent repair shop is strongly preferred.
Smog License (Test and Repair) and ASE and manufacturer certifications are preferred.
A/C certification is also a bonus.

Responsibilities

The Used Car Technician will be responsible for servicing and repairing multiple vehicles makes and models as assigned by the service department.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunction of vehicles and perform repairs.
Accurately document record of all repairs, services and maintenance performed on vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
Collaborate with service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
Perform maintenance and repairs with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
