Responsibilities The Used Car Manager is responsible for overseeing the acquisition and management of the dealership’s used vehicle inventory. This role requires advanced knowledge of vAuto, CDK, inventory control, and reconditioning processes, along with a proven track record as a successful Used Car Manager. Utilize vAuto daily to price to market, drive inventory turn, and maximize profitability. Control reconditioning flow to ensure timely frontline readiness. Maintain inventory health, aging strategy, and acquisition balance. Oversee vehicle appraisals and acquisition decisions based on market data and trends. Lead department execution to meet dealership and group performance goals. Leverage auction platforms and market tools to optimize purchasing decisions. Build and maintain strong industry relationships through effective negotiation. Qualifications 5+ years of Used Car Manager experience in the automotive industry (required). 4+ years of hands-on vAuto experience (required). 1+ year of CDK experience (required). 3+ years of inventory control and reconditioning management. Proven ability to manage inventory lifecycle from acquisition to retail. Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record You must have or acquire a valid California Vehicle Salesperson License Compensation The estimated annual earnings for this position are $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 after factoring in all forms of compensation including salary, commissions, bonuses, etc. Employees in this position will receive a base salary of approximately $6,000.00 per month, plus commissions and bonuses based on performance. Please keep in mind that this range may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
