Automotive Technician - Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic abilities, hands-on repair experience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality automotive service. This role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems while ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

3–5+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Experience with modern diagnostic tools and equipment
Knowledge of automotive systems including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications (A1–A8) or Master Technician status
Experience with dealership or high-volume service environments
State inspection or emissions certification (if applicable)

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models
Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical, electrical, and performance issues
Conduct routine services including oil changes, brake service, tire replacement, and fluid checks
Repair or replace vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical systems
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex issues
Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper performance
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Follow manufacturer guidelines and company procedures for repairs and maintenance
Communicate repair recommendations and findings with service advisors and management
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
