About The Position

Jim Coleman Cadillac is currently looking to hire an Automotive Technician to join their team. Jim Coleman Automotive is a 3rd generation family-owned dealership, founded in 1968, with a vision of superior customer service. The Coleman family has been selling and servicing cars in the DMV since the 1950s. The company expanded its brand offerings in the 1980s and 90s to include Toyota, Infiniti, Honda, Jaguar, and Land Rover dealerships, and now has 9 franchises throughout Maryland. The company is currently led by brothers Patrick and Brendan Coleman. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing vehicles, a passion for technology and precision, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with vehicles
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards
Perform multi-point inspections and recommend services based on vehicle condition
Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues accurately
Complete repair orders efficiently and document all work performed
Stay current with certification training and service bulletins
Work collaboratively with service advisors and other technicians
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
